We are very pleased to welcome Ms. Rashelle Hadley to the OCSI team as our secondary counselor. Ms. Hadley is a graduate of OCSI and Moody Bible Institute.

Beginning of School News:
The lists of school supplies for Middle School and High School are now posted on the website! Please click on General Downloads on the tab above.
- Be sure to check the calendar below for dates of important activities.
- The OCSI book covers are in and will be available in the student store from Monday, August 30th. All textbooks are required to be covered.
- On October 15th, OCSI will host a cross country meet. The campus will be closed that day from 3:30-4:30pm for the runners. All overflow parking will be at Seira No En in back of OCSI.
- Clubs will be starting on September 7th- You should have received a list of clubs and meeting days on the first day of school.
- Volleyball for girls and cross country for both boys and girls are now starting. See Mrs. Jankovsky or Mr. Bezner for more information.

How wonderful it is to welcome all of our students and parents to the 2010-2011 school year at Okinawa Christian School International! We are thankful for each one of you and have been praying this will be a year of much learning and growing.
One area we will be looking at this year in secondary is the pursuit of "Excellence in Love." This can be seen in many different ways and is explained well by a gentlemen by the name of H. Keatley when he writes, "It is clear that God wants His people to abound or excel in both what they are (inward character) and in what they do (behavior or good deeds). " This year will be looking at both and seeing how God is leading us to excellence in love through choosing what is best. Choosing the best in our studies, the best in our relationships, and the best in what we say and do leads us to be who God designed us to be.
"And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more....so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ." Phil. 9-10
We have much to be thankful for this year as we enjoy the beauty of our newly painted building and as we look around the school at the many improvements to our classrooms and campus. Please do come by the school and take a look.
